Tesla Model E Rumors
The Tesla Model E will be introduced at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. This sedan will be a significant contribution to the Tesla’s palette, especially because of its price. It seems that after the Tesla Model E release, nothing will be the same. Since the Tesla Model S costs pretty much, no matter how great it is, the manufacturer can’t count on big sales numbers. They obviously identified this issue as a problem, so the price of the Tesla Model E is estimated to be within the range between $35,000 and $40,000. This more affordable price is fine, but does it influence the quality and performance of the Model E? Well, this electric sedan is really well-built and its performance and specs are nothing but impressive. Of course, we have to bear in mind that we’re still speaking about mere speculations, since almost everything we know about the Tesla Model E at this point, originates from rumors, which may not be true.
Tesla Model E Battery And Driving Range
The manufacturer decided to produce a reliable electric vehicle, which will be able to have a satisfactory driving range, but, at the same time, to make it drastically more affordable. The Tesla Model E is everything they asked for, but how did they managed to make it? The Model E will be 20 percent smaller than the Model S, depicted here. This means it will have a 48 kWh battery. The Model E weight will be significantly decreased since there’s a smaller battery, compared to those which power the Model S (60 kWh and 85 kWh). One may wonder whether a 48 kWh battery is enough to provide a decent driving range. Some estimations say that this battery, along with weight loss, of course, will be able to provide a 200-mile driving range. Some other estimations, which weren’t so optimistic, say that a 48 kWh battery can have a 186-mile driving range. The most cautious estimates claim that this battery will be enough for at least 150-mile drive. We have to wait for the official Tesla Model E specs, so we can make any conclusions regarding its driving range and other driving characteristics. What we can say at this moment, is that the Model E will have improved performance thanks to its weight loss.
Tesla Model E Premiere And Release
The Tesla Model X, a crossover which was delayed a couple of times, comes first on the market. The Model E will be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show next year, like we already said. As for its release date, it isn’t defined yet, but some rumors claim it will be available during 2016 or 2017. There’s no doubt they need time to develop such an affordable electric vehicle with superb performance. When they’re done, this car will be able to compete with conventional sedans. The Tesla Model E is a mid-size luxury sedan like every other, but it may have some downsides which are commonplace for every electric vehicle. Of course, we have to be patient to find out the precise specs of the Model E. Maybe it’s not an adequate moment to announce the glorious victory of electric vehicles yet, but we can expect more Tesla models on the roads in the near future.
