New Volkswagen Crossover Concept to Debut at 2015 Detroit Auto Show
According to the recent Reuters 2015 Detroit Auto Show Volkswagen will unveil a new crossover concept. Based on the already introduced VW CrossBlue concept, the new crossover will offer less space, but probably very similar style. While the CrossBlue concept has seven seats, the upcoming model will have only five seats inside.

This way, the crossover might be something the Touareg or the Tiguan can never be.
Since everything is still secret, the information about the upcoming premiere is scarce. It’s known that the 2015 NAIAS will host the crossover’s debut and that they will unveil just the concept. The production model isn’t expected to be launched next year. It will probably be released by the end of 2016. Of course, there’s a possibility that they release it even a bit later.
The new Volkswagen crossover concept, as a part of the new VW’s strategy to boost their U.S. sales figures, is probably going to be very successful, but it depends on the rivals, too. The expanding crossover market is a great opportunity for growth, but it might be extremely cluttered very soon.
Volkswagen is one of the largest automakers in the world. They certainly don’t need lessons in making successful vehicles. It will be really interesting to watch the forthcoming battle within the crossover market niche where the most important industry players will try to improve their sales. The new VW crossover concept could be just what the German manufacturer needed to make a big expansion on the American market.
