Alfa Romeo Announced Something New for NAIAS: 4C Spider?
In a blog post which was dedicated to the deliveries of the 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C, the automaker stated that will show have something new with the Alfa Romeo badge at the upcoming 2015 NAIAS. They certainly won’t reveal what they’re preparing on the official blog, but the most logical answer is that they’re going to introduce the production version of the 2016 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider.
The exact words at the end of the blog post are: “Of course, if you like what you see, there will be more over the next few years. Alfa Romeo plans to introduce eight new models by 2018. You’ll get your next Alfa fix at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January.”

As you can see, the “next Alfa fix” could mean anything. There’s always an option that they could introduce something else, but having in mind that it’s time to introduce the 2016 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, this seems as a rational solution. And, of course, a blog post with the 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C as a main theme is the most suitable place for a hint about the 2016 4C Spider.
The convertible version of the Alfa Romeo 4C was introduced at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show as a concept vehicle. The 2015 Detroit Auto Show might be the one where the world premiere of the production 4C will be hosted.
The Miata rival will probably be one of the most attractive vehicles within the Alfa Romeo range, but the Italian brand won’t just deliver coupes and roadsters to the U.S. market. They will also bring their sedans and the very first crossover stateside.
We have to wait for the upcoming 2015 NAIAS in order to find out what will be unveiled at the announced premiere. If they show the production 4C Spider, the roadster could be on the roads by the summer.
