2018 Chrysler 300 Redesign: Powerful Style & Conservative Changes
The 2018 Chrysler 300, the next generation of the famous sedan, will keep its powerful appearance. At the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show, where the updated 2015 Chrysler 300 was introduced, Mr. Ralph Gilles, head of Chrysler design, gave some hints to CarAdvice about the future model’s appearance. Reportedly, the 2018 Chrysler 300 won’t change its presence in terms of style. It’s going to keep its powerful, assertive exterior, but it will be essentially redesigned.
Since the current generation has pretty good EPA fuel economy ratings for a full-size sedan and they don’t have to make fuel-efficiency compromises, the upcoming 2018 Chrysler 300 will be able to keep its overall style. Actually, it’s questionable whether the particular style will be similar to the current one, but it’s sure that the feel which will be associated with the next generation won’t diverge from the current model’s.
According to what Mr. Gilles said, the new redesigned sedan has several design options already. They’re aware of uniqueness of the Chrysler’s most luxurious sedan and they will keep it that way.
Chrysler’s Classical Way
“Presence can come in many ways. The silhouette has to be unique”, Mr. Gilles said. And honestly, when you think of the current Chrysler 300, you know that there is no car which is similar to it. It’s really hard to accomplish something like that in a world where full-size sedans are made by, practically, every car manufacturer with enough resources. Trying to invent something new often ends up in futuristic escapades, but the Chrysler 300 is an exception.
Back in the first years of the century, they took a classic style and polished it until it could work with modern day aesthetical requirements. That’s why this sedan has such a unique appearance. Of course, some people don’t like it, but a car with such a posture couldn’t possibly be adored by everyone; that’s a part of its charm. The 2018 Chrysler 300 will keep this approach.
When 2018 Chrylser 300 Will Be Released?
At the moment, probably no one knows how exactly it’s going to look, but there’s no doubt the automaker is figuring out ways to impress us when they introduce the 2018 Chrysler 300 in a couple of years.
