The 2016 VW Golf GTI Clubsport will debut May 14th at the Lake Wörthersee GTI Meeting where the automaker scheduled the world premiere of the most powerful GTI ever. This car has been developed as an anniversary model, since they’re going to celebrate next year forty years since the very first Golf GTI felt the road.
The 2016 Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport is homage to the Golf GTI history and a glance into the future where the hot hatch is going to compete against the most prominent performance hatchbacks.
The car they prepared for the premiere won’t be exactly a production model, but according to the automaker, it’s going to be “a near-production concept car”. This means that the production 2016 Golf GTI Clubsport won’t be significantly different from the model displayed at the debut. And this model is amazing.
2016 VW Golf GTI Clubsport Power Output
According to the automaker’s announcement, the 2016 VW Golf GTI Clubsport has 265 PS. That’s slightly more than 261 horsepower.
