2016 Toyota 4Runner Redesign

No matter how lacking the information about the 2016 Toyota 4Runner is, we can anticipate its appearance and specs using the various sources and rumors about its redesign. Every previous generation of this mid-size SUV was very popular. The new 2016 4Runner will probably be equally successful at the market. It will have certain changes regarding the technology improvement and it will suffer a redesign, which should make its appearance more attractive. The 2016 Toyota 4Runner is a kind of SUV which can be a perfect choice for the people who accent the word sport in the sport utility vehicle phrase. However, it proved that that’s not everything it can. It is a great family vehicle, too. There’s no doubt the 2016 Toyota 4Runner will be a successful blend of these worlds.

After the 2015 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro, a brilliant SUV make for offroad challenges, which will be available this fall, they will start to work on the redesign. The 2016 Toyota 4Runner interior will be significantly redesigned. It will be equipped by a 7-inch display, which will be positioned at the redesigned dashboard. Also, there will be a superb 8-speaker audio system, brand new, more comfortable seats, a new navigation system and a lot more. It’s been a long time since the last interior redesign, so practically everything is new. Of course, the 2016 Toyota 4Runner will have improved safety systems as well as handling and comfort. As for the appearance, the 2016 4Runner will get a new, bigger grille, which will be a symbol of its transformation. It is expected to look more robust, more powerful and muscular. The 2016 Toyota 4Runner trims will be: Trail Offroad, Base SR5 and Limited Edition.

As for the powertrain, the 2016 Toyota 4Runner engine options will be a V-6 and a possibly a V-8. The first engine will be a 4.0-liter V-6 VVT-i which can deliver 270 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. This engine is already installed in this SUV. Some sources claim that there will be a V-8 engine option, but its specs are not known yet. The 2016 4Runner fuel economy will be improved, but at this moment we don’t know how much.  Of course, there will be a 2WD and a 4WD as an option.

What we can say for sure it that the 2016 Toyota 4Runner won’t be released soon. It may be released in the fall 2016. Its price probably won’t suffer a drastic change in comparison with the current generation price, because the manufacturer’s goal is to make this mid-size SUV competitive. Therefore, some estimations say the 2016 4Runner price will be around $34,000 for the entry trim. No matter the price, if they don’t make it superior as expected, they probably won’t succeed in intention to keep the 4Runner at the top of the best-selling mid-size SUVs list. That’s the reason why they will probably make it better than anyone expects.
