2016 Nissan Maxima Price: Starts at $32,410
The 2016 Nissan Maxima, a brand new generation of the famous Maxima moniker, has been introduced at the 2015 New York Auto Show. The redesigned Maxima comes with many very interesting features. Among the most important news is its price. According to the automaker, the 2016 Maxima starts at $32,410. The starting MSRP isn’t very high when you know what they offer for this money.
The all-new Nissan Maxima has a new design language. Inheriting the recognizable style, the eight-generation took everything its predecessors offered and interpreted it in its own way. The 2016 Maxima is smooth and sleek, elegant and dynamic, modern and appealing, but it keeps a fond memory of the previous generations.
2016 Nissan Maxima Redesign
The redesign isn’t just a mere modernization of the recognizable design language. A totally new artistic context and implementation of some fresh ideas resulted in the 2016 Nissan Maxima. The front fascia has the distinctive V-Motion design solution, floating roof effect and numerous other elements that make the sedan a very appealing “four-door sports car”, as the automaker said.
The sedan’s interior has been designed in a very driver-indulging fashion. This doesn’t mean that the cabin is really as opulent as Maybach’s, but they really tried to provide as much luxury as they could. That’s how the 2016 Maxima became a very versatile vehicle; it can be an executive sedan, a family car, and a sporty set of wheels.
NissanConnectSM and Technology
They installed pretty decent technology inside it. Standard NissanConnectSM infotainment system displayed on an eight-inch touchscreen with navigation and SiriusXM Satellite Radio and SiriusXM Travel Link (SiriusXM subscription required) are really good.
The NissanConnect system is mated with a seven-inch Advanced Drive Assist Display located at the instrument cluster. The new Maxima also has Online Search with Google and numerous other connectivity features. And there’s an eleven-speaker Bose premium audio system available.
As for the safety, the 2016 Nissan Maxima comes with Forward Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Intelligent Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning and Blind Spot Warning. There’s also Moving Object Detection system as well as Around View Monitor.
2016 Nissan Maxima Has New V6 Engine & Fuel Economy
The full-size sedan is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine. Belonging to the VQ series, this engine suffered some improvements in order to be honored by powering the new Maxima. The automaker said that it has more than 60 percent new parts. And this results in 300 horsepower and noticeably better fuel economy. According to Nissan, the new V6 has 15 percent fuel efficiency increase. This means that the 2016 Nissan Maxima EPA fuel economy is estimated at 30 mpg.
New Xtronic Transmission
The next-gen engine is connected to the wheels via a new Xtronic transmission. Thanks to the new gearbox, the 2016 Maxima has significantly better performance, especially when accelerating from a standstill. They haven’t said how many seconds it takes to accelerate the 2016 Maxima from zero to sixty, but there’s no doubt the result going to be better than before.
