2016 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Features — Power and Luxury
The 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show hosted the premiere of the 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class luxury sedan. Based on the latest S-Class, the Maybach edition doesn’t look spectacularly different from the stock S-Class. Naturally, there are some differences and obvious specific features that make the 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class distinctive. The sedan is a little bit longer; it looks more powerful and assertive than the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The interior of the 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is really luxurious. With noticeably more space and high-quality materials, the sedan’s cabin is just what was expected of an upscale Maybach car. As for the engine, there are two options. Since the sedan is available in two versions – the 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S500 and the 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600 – the manufacturer offers two different engines. Both of the 4.7-liter V8 and the 6.0-liter V12 are powerful and reliable mills which are truly suitable for a luxury sedan.
2016 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Exterior Design
Having in mind that the 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is based on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the expectations were that the luxury version won’t depart from the established style of the stock S-Class. It’s true that the Maybach is different, but those changes are made in order to provide more elegant style and powerful feel. Its body is longer than the body of the regular S-Class. The overall weight is approximately 215 inches, while the wheelbase is 132.5 inches long. Although some details, such as the chrome outline that frames the side windows and the chrome B-pillar, reveal that the sedan is an upscale luxury version of the S-Class, there are no significant body changes that would make the car drastically different. The Maybach emblem applied at the C-pillar is a subtle mark that symbolizes the power and the elegance of the upscale sedan.
2016 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Interior – Luxury and Style
When it comes to the luxury sedans, the interior is always equally attractive as the exterior. The automakers compete to make their car’s cabins more and more luxurious and attractive, and the Maybach is among the best in the game. The 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is very spacious; thanks to the increased overall length and its comfortable seats are wrapped in fine perforated leather. Naturally, inside the sub-brand’s version of the S-Class, you can find acres of leather and tons of wood and chrome. The rear seats are heated and cooled. The automaker also thought about the busy people who might have to work inside the car, so they’ve installed retractable tables. The 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is equipped with an outstanding Burmester 3D surround audio system. They did everything in order to make you feel special reclined in a comfortable leather seat, smoothly gliding down the road with a four-zone climate control on, listening to the brilliant sound from the audio system and when the music turns down, you suddenly hear nothing. According to the manufacturer, the 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class sits at the top of the world’s quietest production cars list.
