2016 Lexus GS F Revealed!
The 2016 Lexus GS F has been revealed ahead of the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. The first revealing photos introduced the latest addition to the F performance range, but the official premiere of the luxury sedan is going to be at the 2015 NAIAS on January 13th.
Since the 2016 GS F is a performance sedan, the brand’s luxury aura has been skillfully blended with aggressive, sporty details. It’s up to everyone’s personal taste to decide whether they were successful in this ambitious enterprise, but there’s no doubt the new sports sedan is highly stylized.
2016 Lexus GS F Exterior Design
Inspired by its sporty ambitions, the 2016 Lexus GS F evolved the brand’s elegant look using a number of sporty details. The front fascia has a huge mash grille and distinctive LED accents under the narrow headlights. Thanks to the large air intakes and larger-than-usual wheels, the 2016 GS F looks very powerful.
The rear end has four exhaust tips and unique taillights which underline the fact that the sedan belongs to the F performance range.
The 2016 Lexus GS F comes with a platform suited to take all the requirements of a sports car. The suspension is tuned to provide a comfortable ride, but at the same time it’s performance oriented, so the driver can get all the necessary responsiveness.
467-hp V8 Engine and Fast Transmission
Powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine — which delivers 467 horsepower at 7,100 rpm and 398 lb-ft of torque between 4,800 and 5,600 rpm — the 2016 Lexus GS F is expected to have impressive specs. The V8 mill comes with both Otto and Atkinson cycle in order to get maximum performance and maximum efficiency out of the same engine.
As for the transmission, the V8 is mated with a very fast shiftable eight-speed automatic gearbox.
One of the most important features that contribute to the car’s superb performance is the Torque Vectoring Differential which has also been installed in the Lexus RC F. It comes with three modes: Standard, Slalom and Track.
