2016 Lexus ES 300h Changes: 2016 Model Year Introduced
The 2016 Lexus ES 300h is coming with new appearance and a number of other changes that should make the luxury hybrid improved. The automaker tried to increase the luxury level of the entry model, but also to offer technologically advanced connectivity with 2016 model year.
As it was expected, they used premium materials inside the cabin of the hybrid sedan, so the overall feel of the ES 300h’s interior is better than ever.
2016 Lexus ES 300h Exterior Refresh
The exterior refresh is far from a complete makeover, but all they did is very interesting and appealing. The hybrid sedan got a completely redesigned front fascia. There’s a revised Lexus spindle grille that brings more assertive look. The new one-piece grille is framed by elegant satin chrome trim. The restyled 2016 ES 300h now has standard LED headlights and also a pair of fog lights positioned at the corners.
The rear end of the sedan suffered some changes, too. Now, it has L-shaped taillights that are closely related to the flagship LS.
The 2016 Lexus ES 300h sits atop of new 17-inch alloys. The 2016 model year changes brought four new body colors. And all the colors have self-healing clear coat technology.
The 2016 Lexus ES 300h interior colors are: Flaxen, Stratus Gray, Noble Brown, Parchment, and Black. New colors and color schemes inside the cabin aren’t the only interior update. The automaker saw the interior of the 2015 ES 300h as a place that needs a luxury treatment. That’s why the 2016 ES 300h got distinctive details that should embellish the cabin with more upscale feel. But, the interior redesign isn’t all about luxury. They installed a new sportier steering wheel and a new shift knob.
There are three new interior trims: Linear Dark Mocha, Bamboo with a matte finish that replaces gloss finish, and Illustrious Piano Black that replaces Piano Black.
The entry 2016 Lexus ES 300h has NuLuxe perforated upholstery, power tilt-and-slide moonroof, 10-way adjustable power front seats, automatic climate control, power side mirrors with turn signals and defoggers integrated, remote-controlled power window and moonroof opening etc. You can imagine what Premium, Luxury and Ultra Luxury Packages can offer.
2016 Lexus ES 300h Connectivity
The ES 300h’s seven-inch Display Audio system is enriched by Lexus Enform (one year subscription is included). This way, besides all the ordinary stuff that comes with Display Audio, you can remotely control some features using an iOS or Android app. You can remotely lock and unlock the car, start and stop the engine as well as climate control, find your vehicle etc.
However, a novelty for the 2016 Lexus ES 300h is standard Lexus Enform Service Connect feature. This way, you can get alerts and reminders about all facets of the car’s maintenance.
The Navigation option brings an eight-inch Display Audio screen that can be divided into three sections in order to provide a plenty of necessary information simultaneously. Every section can display different type of function, so you can use navigation and two other features the infotainment system provides.
They are proud of the second-generation Remote Touch Interface that’s incredibly good for operating various functions. There will also be a Siri Eyes Free Mode available.
Standard and Mark Levinson Audio System
The 2016 Lexus ES 300h has standard eight-speaker Lexus Premium Sound System that can be put into operation using a CD player, Bluetooth audio streaming, HD Radio, USB/iPod port, or SiriusXM Satellite Radio receiver.
However, there’s an optional audio system: Mark Levinson Premium Sound system that’s available with any option package. It has fifteen speakers and 835 watts. Thanks to the Clari-Fi technology, this system decompresses digital data and provides rich and crystal clear sound.
All the appearance, luxury and technology updates are great, but one of the most important aspects of every car is safety. The 2016 Lexus ES 300h now has Lexus Safety System+ available as an option. It consists of Pre-Collision System, Intelligent High Beam, High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist. Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert is also available.
