2016 Jaguar F-PACE Introduced at Tour de France
A bit unconventional but brilliant marketing strategy resulted in an unofficial premiere at the start of the Tour de France. The plan was to introduce the 2016 Jaguar F-Pace in front of millions of people during the stage one of the 2015 Tour de France.
The all-new Jaguar crossover that was used to set the pace for Team Sky at the world’s most famous road bicycle race hasn’t been revealed completely. The automaker wrapped it in a special type of camouflage that allows us to anticipate what’s beneath, but doesn’t actually reveal the crossover’s appearance.
Everybody and his brother know that the 2016 F-Pace is a production spin-off of the dreamy C-X17 concept. Of course, we don’t expect the exterior of the very first Jag SUV to be an exact match to the concept, but the fundamental styling elements and design basics will certainly be inherited.
F-PACE – That’s How You Spell Luxury
This crossover will be a very fierce rival to the BMW X3, Audi Q5, Lexus RX350 and Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. So, it’s clear that the Jaguar’s utility incarnation won’t fall behind from the brand’s conventional body types when it comes to luxury. In fact, the expectations are that the 2016 F-Pace is going to be an epitome of luxury within its segment. Envisaged as a luxury crossover with amazing performance, the new F-Pace could be a game changer if it can come with a reasonable price.
2016 Jaguar F-Pace Price Estimate
Unfortunately, the first unofficial estimates claim that the 2016 Jaguar F-Pace will be far from an affordable crossover. It’s impossible to hope for a Jag to be affordable, but the rumors say that the 2016 F-Pace price will be steeper than the price of its competitors due to the aluminum architecture.
However, there’s more than one upside that comes with the aluminum base architecture. Thanks to the aluminum platform, the 2016 Jag F-Pace became a full-blooded performance crossover. Its specs haven’t been published yet, but since it’s been speculated that it could be powered by a supercharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, its low weight in combination with this mill can make the F-Pace very spirited.
