2016 Dodge Viper ACR Entry Price Revealed — $117,895
The 2016 Dodge Viper ACR is a stunning street-legal racer and that kind of car comes with a price. The automaker said that the hand-built 2016 Viper ACR will start at $117,895. The MSRP doesn’t include gas-guzzler tax or destination fee. Those two would make the price slightly higher, so the lowest price tag would be $121,990 (destination fee is $1,995 and gas-guzzler tax is $2,100).
As we already said, the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR doesn’t come with significantly improved power output. It only has five horsepower more, but its other features are what makes this sports car so special.
In the previous article where we explained how the automaker improved the ACR’s aerodynamics, we said that the 2016 Viper ACR has impressive downforce. According to the automaker, when the car reaches 177 miles per hour a ton of downforce keeps it on the road.
Of course lots of active body elements make this performance car so obedient on the road. And in order to make it stick to the surface, they used unique tires, performance brakes, 50/50 weight distribution and very meticulous weight reduction.
All those features probably make the 2016 Viper ACR worth the aforementioned amount of money, but the automaker’s ‘1 on 1’ customization program is what can push the price even higher than $121,990.
So, if you’d like to experience this amazing car once they release the first units this fall, the order books are officially open.
