2016 Chevrolet Volt Teaser Videos: Introducing New Features

The upcoming 2016 Chevrolet Volt, which will be introduced at the 2015 NAIAS this January, has been teased again. Recently, the automaker has published a teaser video where we can see a new regenerative braking function that comes with the next-gen Volt. This feature was already introduced with the 2014 Cadillac ELR and the 2016 Volt is going to get it, too. It’s very useful, since its powertrain could use every single bit of energy it can get in order to further improve its efficiency and performance. Of course, the regenerative breaking feature will be adjustable, so the driver can determine how much power the system will capture.

Yet another teaser video the automaker has just released illustrates how the 2016 Chevrolet Volt behaves on snow.

This way, they proved that the plug-in hybrid can be used like every other car when the roads are covered with snow and ice.

They will probably release at least one more teaser video until the premiere. The 2015 Detroit Auto Show.

Like almost every other new model with a “bow tie” on the grille, the 2016 Volt will have some styling details borrowed from the current Corvette. Although a performance coupe and a green hybrid sedan can’t be compared in a lot of areas, they still come from the same family and they’re going to disclose that they are new-gen Chevrolet models.
