2016 Buick Cascada Features
The new 2016 Buick Cascada will be released in the U.S. next year. Although this car will share a lot of the features with the Opel Cascada, which is a Euro-spec version, the Buick Cascada won’t be exactly the same. There will be some differences and improvements for the American market. According to the rumors, 2016 Buick Cascada is coming with only one engine available, while its European counterpart has three engine options available. Reportedly, the 2016 Buick Cascada will be powered by a 1.6-liter inline-four. This engine has a really modest displacement, so we can’t expect great performance, but the 2016 Cascada isn’t a performance car. It’s a very stylish convertible, made for the people who like to enjoy all the pleasures a car this beautiful can provide.
2016 Buick Cascada Exterior and Interior
The exterior of the forthcoming 2016 Buick Cascada will be really handsome. New design changes will bring a fresh front fascia, where a little bit more pronounced front bumper and altered headlights will contribute to the updated feel. The rear end will also be gently improved. As for the interior, the 2016 Cascada will have some updates of that aspect, too. There will be a new upholstery and a new dashboard. The manufacturer estimated that the U.S.-spec version of this car will have to be significantly altered when it comes to the interior.
Powertrain & Performance
As we already said, the 2016 Buick Cascada will have a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-four, which delivers 168 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque. With this engine under the hood and a manual transmission, the new Cascada is estimated to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 9.5 seconds. With a six-speed automatic, it will probably sprint noticeably faster. The Euro-spec Cascada has a 2.0-liter diesel engine. Perhaps this mill could be useful in the U.S. lineup, but it’s been speculated that the 1.6-liter four-cylinder is the only engine option which will be available when the 2016 Cascada hits the market.
