Production 2016 Acura NSX Is Coming at 2015 Detroit Auto Show
Honda’s way to enter the supercar market segment will be revealed at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. The concept car which was used as a model for the production 2016 Acura NSX was introduced at the same auto show back in 2012. According to the reactions before the official debut, the 2016 Acura NSX hybrid coupe will be really popular. The pre-orders of the European counterpart of the performance coupe, called the Honda NSX, are already closed in the UK. So, what makes this car so attractive? First of all, it’s a supercar whose performance can be compared with various other upscale cars. Having in mind that Honda is a huge automaker that doesn’t need to take lessons in car manufacturing, their halo car must be good. Of course, the 2016 Acura NSX will be a new halo car of the Acura premium brand, but essentially, that’s the same vehicle. The development of the 2016 NSX is almost over and the production version will have its world premiere at the 2015 NAIAS.
2016 Acura NSX Powertrain and Estimated Specs
The coupe’s style isn’t very different from the general body style of the other supercars. That’s because its wide stance and smooth roofline have a purpose. You don’t have so many options when you’re developing a supercar. What they can do is to improve the powertrain of your car and that’s exactly what they did. The hybrid powertrain probably won’t be known for its powertrain as it’s going to be famous because of its torque.
What Can We Learn at Premiere?
After the premiere this January, we’ll know much more about the supercar. Aside from disclosing all the specs, they’re probably going to announce its pricing and release date. Probably two years after the halo car’s release, the automaker is going to release a roadster version.
