2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek Changes — EyeSight & Interior Improvements
The 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek isn’t noticeably updated. The exterior of the crossover won’t suffer major design changes, but this doesn’t mean that there’s nothing that’s going to be changed. The 2015 Crosstrek is coming with improved infotainment and safety. The automaker also made it more sophisticated than before. Some could say that those changes aren’t radical enough, but we should bear in mind that the 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek is a very satisfactory vehicle. Add the latest technology and the advanced safety systems and you’ll get an excellent crossover for a reasonable price. The 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek employs the famous boxer engine — both for the gasoline and the hybrid option — paired with standard all-wheel drive. With all the reliable features inherited and those latest improvements, the 2015 XV Crosstrek will be released this December.
EyeSight Driver Assist System & Cabin Improvements
The EyeSight, a very popular driver assist technology, which is already in use in some other Subaru models, is going to be available in the Premium trim, while the Limited trim will have it included. The EyeSight system is a very useful and important feature and it comes with numerous other safety systems, such as: pre-collision braking, blind-spot detection, lane-change assist, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control and rear cross-traffic alert. All of those systems will make the 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek a very safe and an easy-to-drive vehicle. The automaker also took care of the cabin noise. The 2015 XV Crosstrek is going to be noticeably improved regarding the noise cancellation, making the time spent on the road more pleasant and enjoyable.
2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek Infotainment System
Aside from the EyeSight, the 2015 XV Crosstrek will feature a 6.2-inch infotainment system. This novelty isn’t just about convenience, since this screen will display the feed from the standard rear-view camera on all trims. The 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid Touring, 2.0i Limited and 2.0i Premium will get a wider, more upscale, 7-inch infotainment system. The infotainment upgrade isn’t a pioneering job for the automaker; they have already used it for the Legacy and the Outback, so the new infotainment had a chance to show its possible flaws and to be improved before the installing in the Crosstrek.
Four-cylinder Boxer Engine And Transmission
The 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek won’t have any powertrain improvements. This model year will carry over the last year’s engine options — a standard gasoline engine option and a hybrid powertrain. Both of those powertrains use the aforementioned 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine which delivers 148 horsepower. As before, the crossover is available with a five-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek Release
As we already mentioned, the 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek will be released this December as a 2015 model.
