2015 Subaru Legacy Changes and Release

The new model of 2015 Subaru Legacy was recently seen on the roads of Michigan. Subaru’s traditional introducing of new generations of Legacy every five years seems to be a case for this model too. Previous, 5th generation is on the market for four years now. Designers of the next generation were more conservative. This new model has more genetics which belong to 4th generation, than direct ancestor, Subaru Legacy 5th generation. As far as we know, designers used customers’ feedback and made a new contemporary car with appearance resemblance of the 4th generation. Resemblance should be a main trump for the market which expects changes after 5th generation Legacy. Surface finishes and materials have been an object of special interest of Subaru design team, since the most of the reviews addressed this issue at the previous model.

Using the photos of this masked car, we can see that the shape of the headlights is more contemporary than before. They are more narrow and look more aggressive. Also, we can see that the size of 2015 Subaru Legacy remains almost the same. The interior will be, as we already said, made with more care and using the better quality materials. There will be no major changes when it comes to the dashboard. We can expect that Impreza Starlink infotainment and connectivity system can be seen in every new model of 2015 Subaru Legacy. That will make the driving experience more comfortable. Besides that, this new mid-size sedan will have a lot more things implemented: Bluetooth hands-free, USB charging port and iPod controls. Also, we should mention that audio system will be better. The price of Legacy will be influenced by safety systems. Part of the equipment will be adaptive cruise control, pre-collision sensing and lane departure warning.

The most important part of 2015 Subaru Legacy is under the hood. There will be nested, as we expect, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The choir which has 173 hp will be conducted by 6-speed manual transmission. An option of CVT, Continuously Variable Transmission will be available too. Also, there is an information that 2015 Subaru Legacy will have 2.0-liter turbo engine, already seen in 2014 Subaru Forester. It has 250 horsepower and 258 pound-feet torque. We don’t know much about the fuel economy, but we can say that it will be at least slightly better compared with the previous model. We can expect this new 2015 Subaru Legacy in the first half of 2014. For the price and precise release date, we’ll have to wait for Subaru’s official information.
