2015 Kia Sedona Redesign — Minivan Reinterpreted

The 2015 Kia Sedona comes this year to make the minivan market segment competition even more interesting. This minivan got a new engine, some new trims and an intention to make all the other minivans struggle for their market share. The 2015 Sedona redesign provided a modern attractive look. Also, the interior suffered some major changes, so the 2015 Kia Sedona will probably be able to meet all the needs a big family may have. With all the improvements and hopefully lower price compared with the Honda, Toyota and Chrysler competition, this minivan may rock the market. However, not to be too enthusiastic, we have to wait until the premiere in April, so we be sure it is really well made.

The inside of the 2015 Sedona minivan provides a lot of space. Thanks to its body which is more robust than before and the interior redesign, the passengers will have a plenty of space. Until the camo is off, we can’t say much about the 2015 Sedona appearance. However, we can say that it got bigger, it will probably have more modern lines, but still, it will have a gentle design language, which will make the body of this minivan look like a sculpture. They decided to use some of the design solutions seen on the 2012 KV7 concept. Also, we can’t be sure will it get the famous Kia tiger-nose grille.

The manufacturer had in mind variety of purposes the spacious inside of the 2015 Sedona can be used for, so they tried to make them meet in a solid, comfortable and useful design. There are captains chairs front seats. The driver seat is 6-way power with adjustable height. The other seats are 4-way power adjustable. Of course, the seats are heated. The 2015 Kia Sedona features list will continue with heated power mirrors, power windows, tilt steering wheel, stability and traction control, tachometer, compass and trip computer. Driving experience inside this minivan will be enhanced by various systems — there is a UVO infotainment system, a rear-view camera, cruise control with controls mounted on the steering wheel, electric power steering, parking sensors etc. We can expect a high level of smartphone connectivity. There are 12V power outlets for front and rear seats. The 2015 Kia Sedona safety is improved by two new safety systems — it got lane-departure warning and blind-spot detection.

The manufacturer installed a V-6 engine inside the 2015 Sedona minivan. This direct-injected 3.3-liter V-6 DOHC engine has variable valve timing, but unfortunately, we can’t say how powerful it is. Some sources which are not reliable claim it will have 290 horsepower. Decide for yourself whether you trust this info or not. The 2015 Kia Sedona has front-wheel drive and a 6-speed shiftable automatic transmission. It will have improved fuel economy. We are not sure whether there will be the 2015 Kia Sedona AWD, but considering the competition advances in that direction (e. g. 2015 Toyota Sienna) all-wheel drive won’t be a surprise.

The 2015 Kia Sedona release date is set in October this year. It will be presented this April in New York, at the Auto Show, we will have to wait until this fall for its release. The 2015 Sedona price is not known yet, but some estimations say it will be the most affordable minivan on the market. That’s a pretty bold statement, so we have to wait for the official MSRP to be sure.
