2015 Buick LaCrosse Carried Over

The 2015 Buick LaCrosse won’t be changed significantly. According to some rumors, the possible changes may improve the fuel economy, but we shouldn’t take this news too seriously. The 2015 model of this Buick’s luxury sedan with great sales figures will bring the OnStar 4G LTE system as a standard. The 2015 LaCrosse isn’t the only one which will get this technology update. The other Buick’s models — Regal, Verano and Encore — will have the OnStar 4G LTE system, too. This system enables a Wi-Fi hotspot, which is able to have up to seven devices connected and provides high-speed wireless internet connection. Aside from this new standard feature, the 2015 Buick LaCrosse won’t change much. As expected, it will be a carryover. Since this sedan belongs to the luxury stratum, the manufacturer didn’t have to change a lot in order to make it more competitive. With smooth appearance, luxury interior made with taste and very good performance, the 2015 Buick LaCrosse will certainly keep its market position.

2015 Buick LaCrosse Powertrain — eAssist Hybrid & V-6

Like we already said, the 2015 Buick LaCrosse is a carryover, so the powertrain is expected to be the same. The standard powertrain will be an eAssist hybrid which consists of a 2.4-liter inline-four engine, lithium-ion batteries and a 11-kilowatt electric motor. This powertrain can deliver 182 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque and it’s paired with 6-speed automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive. The 2014 model had impressive EPA fuel economy — 25 mpg/city, 36 mpg/highway and 29 mpg/combined. The 2015 LaCrosse may come with slightly improved fuel efficiency, but this is just a speculation.

The other engine option is a 3.6-liter V-6 unit, which generates 303 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque. It’s mated with 6-speed automatic gearbox, which transmits the power to the front wheel. The all-wheel drive is available as an option. While the 2014 LaCrosse FWD had 18 mpg/city, 28 mpg/highway and 21 mpg/combined, the AWD version had 17 mpg/city, 26 mpg/highway and 20 mpg/combined.

2015 Buick LaCrosse Interior

The interior of the 2015 Buick LaCrosse is very comfortable, with a lot of room. The OnStar 4G LTE system is a big news. Aside from the already mentioned features, it will have Buick AppShop, which is available at the IntelliLink touchscreen. The 2014 model came with four trims: Base, Leather, Premium 1 and Premium 2. It won’t be a surprise if the manufacturer offers a little bit better equipment or a completely new trim level for the 2015 model year. This luxury sedan has very stylish LED accent lighting, premium materials and distinctive design of the cabin. As for the safety, there’s no need to underline that the 2015 Buick LaCrosse belongs to the top of the market.

The trunk of this sedan isn’t its brightest feature. The trunk of the 2014 model had 13.3 cubic feet with the V-6 engine and 10.8 cubic feet with the hybrid powertrain. Although there are rumors that the 2015 LaCrosse may come with slightly increased trunk space, even if it doesn’t, it won’t make a big influence, because this sedan provides superb appearance, pure luxury, great performance and EPA fuel economy.
