The people who drive Hilux often buy a generation after generation of this pickup truck which was sold in 15 million units during it’s almost half a century long history. THE NEW 2014 TOYOTA HILUX CHANGES
Toyota recognized this issues as a place for improvements, so they made changes which should make the 2014 Toyota Hilux Invincible better than before, but still a member of the Hilux family. They say the new Hilux will get a massive redesign, the biggest since the 2005 Toyota Hilux Vigo. The 2014 Toyota Hilux will be a truck for all driving conditions. They say this Hilux is tougher than ever. Maybe that’s the reason why it’s named Invincible. This means it will be capable of doing a hard work all day long, but after that, to enjoy a comfortable ride on a smooth city streets, like it never experienced dust and dirt. The reason for prancing around will be a new grille, nested between a pair of redesigned headlights. The suspension is new and it will make handling more precise and ride more comfortable, since it will reduce vibration and noise. The 2014 Toyota Hilux Invincible towing capacity will be increased from 2500 kg (5500 lbs), which is the previous model towing capacity, to 3000 kg (6600 lbs). Besides that, an important change is that the European steering box will replace the Japanese one. Also, every 2014 Toyota Hilux will have the Electronic Stability Control system.
2014 TOYOTA HILUX INVINCIBLE TRIM LEVELS
The 2014 Toyota Hilux Invincible will have two cab options – Extra Cab and Double Cab. It will have 8 body colors offered. Also, there will be two trim levels – Active and Sport. The 2014 Toyota Hilux Invincible Active will have chrome air intakes, fog lamps, a distinctive front underguard and the Invincible label on the door. It’s interior will be in stylish black color. The Sport trim level will enrich already attractive offer of the Active trim. It will bring everything Active has plus chrome hi-bars and chrome side bars, 17″ alloy wheels, black leather seats and optionally, a new hard-top. The manufacturer installed in the 2014 Toyota Hilux Invincible modern electronics, so the passengers will be accompanied by a multimedia system controlled by a touchscreen. Also, there is a rear-view camera, which makes the maneuvers in reverse more safe and precise.
DIESEL ENGINES INSTALLED IN THE 2014 TOYOTA HILUX INVINCIBLE
The 2014 Toyota Hilux Invincible engines will be a 2.5-liter D-4D diesel and a 3.0-liter D-4D diesel which can deliver up to 171 horsepower and 360 Nm (266 lb-ft) of torque. The 2.5-liter engine will be available with manual transmission only, but with two drive options. It may have 2WD or 4WD. The stronger, 3.0-liter D-4D will have 4WD only, but you can choose manual or automatic transmission.
